My sister Sarah and yummy food.

Back in the land of oz where cheese melts over lunch and puppies hide between my legs.

A good friend of mine gave me some gorgeous drawing paper the other day. It is just wonderful to work with and comes in a very special packaging (so special it was a challenge to get out!). Here is the first illustration i made with it. Also, i have been getting back into pen and ink lately.

I'm the kind of person who can rumble up a hearty meal with whatever is left in the fridge or gathering dust on the top shelf of the cupboard. The only problem with this method is that i can rarely make something taste the same twice. So, as promised to my boy, i began to write down the method of concocting some of our favourite treats.
The other nice thing is that i get to practice photographing food, so, if anyone knows of somebody who's writing a recipe book, send 'em on over!
Recipe Cards. For my boy who loves to rely on recipes.

So i've always been a little hesitant when it comes to shooting people in a situation where i'm not in control. The confrontation of taking someone's portrait on the street has always scared me and usually i can be seen shooting from behind a pole or in a dark corner. So, in trying to fight off my fear i am forcing myself out of the house and onto the streets. Today i visited a goth fest to shoot the wonderfully stoic children of eindhoven. Only a couple of shots made the cut, and only one of which i'll be showing here.

I love finding films in my cameras that i leave on the other side of the world. Some pictures i remember taking, some not.
